TIM FLANNERY

VOCAL, GUITAR, HARMONICA

Tim Flannery has always walked the line between two great loves: baseball and music. Even during his years as a professional player and coach, his guitar was never far from reach—a passion sparked by his uncle, Hal Smith, the Pittsburgh Pirates hero of the 1960 World Series. “He was also a songwriter and carried a Gibson J-35 everywhere,” Flan recalls. “I grew up never knowing you couldn’t do both.”

Flannery’s songwriting reflects his roots, the road, and the lessons learned along the way. He sings of family, love, and the surrender that comes with accepting life’s twists. His ace band, the Lunatic Fringe, brings his songs roaring to life with a mix of Bluegrass, Country, and Rock.

With three World Series rings as a third-base coach for the San Francisco Giants and 14 albums of original music to his name, Flannery has built a life of passion and purpose. He and his wife, Donna, also founded the Love Harder Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to anti-bullying efforts, funded through performances and public donations.

In 2020, Flannery battled a life-threatening staph infection, facing two of the hardest months of his life. But with the love of his family, he made a full recovery and emerged with new stories to tell. His 15th album, Waiting On A Miracle (2022), is a testament to resilience, featuring songs inspired by his journey.

Now healthy and back on the road, Tim Flannery and the Lunatic Fringe are bringing their electrifying shows to audiences once again. Booking now—come be part of the next chapter
